what's your opinion on girls who claim to "love the fifties", and always say they love marilyn monroe but have never seen any of her movies?
These girls who claim to love the 50’s are the ones who believe the 50’s are a girl wearing a poodle skirt while she dances Elvis music and drinks a strawberry milkshake, which I don’t blame them though because that’s the idea most people without any knowledge portray in movies and tv shows. I will never understand those “fans” those are fake Marilyn Monroe fans and it really sucks that these girls ruin her reputation and adore a wrong image of Marilyn, they believe she was this glamorous flawless film star, and she wasn’t, basically you ask them who Norma Jeane Baker is and they are WHO? they can’t see the difference between Marilyn and Norma Jeane. This people ruin her reputation and they make EVERYONE hate her, and it really fucking sucks. This people love a fake image the media portrays of society and people during the 50’s, and the 50’s weren’t nothing like it, the 50’s have many wonderful nice things but society back then wasn’t as fabulous as movies show it. To be honest I really dislike these people but its okay though, that’s mostly ignorance you can’t completely blame them, but I don’t think Marilyn would be proud of those “fans” who watch Gentlemen Prefer Blonde’s and think is the greatest movie ever.
