Anonymous said: what exactly makes u love bette davis so much and worship the ground the walks on,i like her too she is an excellent actress but why do you love her and what made u like her in the first place

omg lol, oh dear, I adore Bette Davis because she is in my opinion the best actress whoever lived, whether you agree or not that is your business. To me Bette Davis was an eye-opener, the person who showed me what acting was about, how great does it get, how amazing cinema is, how much a human being could love their work and be passionate about it, because you’ll see Bette wasn’t a movie star she was an actress who adored the craft more than anything she even said so herself “it should all be bigger than life”. What makes me adore Bette aside from her talent is he personality, the woman behind the actress, after I read “The Lonely Life” she was so determined, confident, wise, smart, intelligent, ahead of her time and extremely honest, she was a great woman who inspired many and still inspires me in many ways, you see she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, being honest is one of her greatest qualities, yes she had a big ego, and many flaws, but I love her with them too, when you like a movie star you need to appreciate their flaws and accept them, Bette isn’t flawless, I don’t worship or approve of everything she ever did, but her qualities overshadow the flaws, she is Bette Davis, the actress, the badass, the woman who wasn’t afraid to quit the studio system and sue them, even if she lost and ended up broke without a penny, she started all over again, she became the biggest actress Warner had, she wasn’t afraid to play any role, she wasn’t the most beautiful either, she did what she pleased without answering to anyone. She played the “bitch” while others stick with the Belle. To me Bette is an inspiration and I love her very much.

“Bette is of a different temperament than I. She has to yell every morning. So I just sat and knitted. I knitted a scarf from Hollywood to Malibu.” — Joan Crawford
